Well I was hoping for something great with such a milestone issue as #700, I mean how many comics actually can say they got that far? Superman next month and thats about it. Grant Morrison has been hitting all the right notes with Batman & Robin so it seemsed logical he would do something great for such and issue right? Wrong, what we got was 3 or 4 or was it 5 I can't really tell little stories anout Batman past, batman present and future Batman, all topics non related to the big picture that's going on in the Batman mythos.

Ideally it should of incoporated Bruce Wayne's return, because he is Batman, Dick Grayson is great but he aint Batman and his character freely admits it.

To be fair there is a thread that carries through the 3 main stories in the book, Professor Nichols and his possibility machine, but as I said earlier it has no baring on current Batman events, no tie to his return, nothing to celebrate 71 years of history. For some reason they thought it would be good to fill up the rest of the book with artwork from differnt artists which in theory was a good idea had it been a larger book but it wasn't and as a result the 3 main stories don't have enough time to explain anything.

It's also a little incoherent...
