Booster Gold, Rip Hunter and Raven head to the future to stop an alternative timeline created when Deathstroke kills Dick Grayson in a battle with the Titans and never grows up to take over as Batman thus allowing Trigon to become supreme ruler of Earth and slaughter all but 38 000 humans.

The set up is a bit of a stretch, considering Trigon has never been a majar player villain wise in the DCU and I am starting to find this the series set up as a whole a little repetitious. Booster once again has to go into the past to recreate an event in history to correct the timeline this time posing as Deathstroke himself to make sure no variations pop up.

I love the character but have always had worries about the future of the book since Geoff Johns left, not that Dan Jurgens have anything to prove but I wish they would  mix it up a little. It was interesting to see the alternative future where Kyle Rayner never became a Green Lantern and Oliver Queens is leading the resistance (not the first time he has taken this role in an alternative future in this series), but I dont really care for the Black Beetle as a villain. He is not that intersting and to me he is a constant reminder that they killed off Ted Kord and unless the reveal of who he really is is Ted Kord himself its gonna be as disappointing as the latest Supernova reveal. "Booster Gold, I am your father" was pretty lame twist and ruined a potentially great character.

The art was up to usual standard, if you are familiar with Dan Jurgen's work you know what your getting.

3/5 just because it is Booster Gold.
